Dakota Prukop transferred from Montana State to Oregon in January to see what he could do as a starting quarterback at a higher level. He'll now officially have that opportunity. Prukop was named the Oregon Ducks' starting quarterback on Friday, with the news coming with the team's release of the depth chart prior to its Week 1 game on Sept. 3 against UC Davis. Prukop was named the starting quarterback, while true freshman Justin Herbert, who joined the team just this summer, was named his backup for Week 1.
